Mr. G. Bam, learned counsel for the petitioners, fairly submits that he may be allowed to withdraw this writ petition with liberty to approach the appellate authority for disposal of the statutory appeals filed by the petitioners, in view of the fact that the appeals were filed between 11.09.2026 and 14.09.2026, whereas the present writ petition has been filed just a day thereafter, i.e., on 15.09.2026.

Having considered the submissions and as strenuously urged by the learned State Counsel, Ms. R. Basar, that a minimum reasonable time ought to have been given to the appellate authority for consideration of the appeals filed by the petitioners and having regard to the fact that the petitioners have approached this Court alleging non-disposal of the statutory appeals filed by them just after one day of the last appeal was filed, the prayer for withdrawal is accepted.

Accordingly, the writ petition stands disposed of on withdrawn, with liberty as prayed for.

It is observed that the appellate authority, i.e., the Deputy Commissioner, West Siang District, shall consider and dispose of the statutory appeals filed by the petitioners within a reasonable period of time but not later than the outer limit of two (2) months from today.
