that the petitioner, at the relevant point of time, was also appointed as the Principal of the J.M. Higher Secondary School, Mankachar and has, thereafter, retired from his service on reaching the age of superannuation, the challenge in the present proceeding to the selection and appointment of the respondent No. 6 as Principal, I.N. Academy Higher

Secondary School, Bilasipara has been rendered infructuous. Accordingly, he prays that
