The appellant/Insurance Company is represented. The respondent/claimant is also present.
It has been submitted that the parties have agreed for a total settlement amount of Rs. 44,50,000/-, as full and final settlement of all the claims of the respondent against the impugned Judgment & Order dated 08.09.2022, in MAC Case No. 143/2018 passed by the Learned Member, MACT, Bongaigaon. Out of this, an amount of Rs. 17,23,676/- has already been paid. The remaining amount of Rs. 27,26,324/-.
Accordingly, the matter is settled on compromise in terms of the presettlement/compromise slip for the National Lok Adalat, which is made a part of record.
Both the parties shall put their signature in the pre-settlement compromise slip as token of acceptance for the settlement.
Accordingly, the National Insurance Co.Ltd shall deposit the settlement amount

of Rs. 27,26,324/-, before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 days from the date of this settlement order, failing which the amount shall carry interest @ 9% per annum till the date of deposit.
The Registry shall disburse the amount as per procedure.
On furnishing proof of the deposit of the entire settlement amount, the Registry shall release the statutory deposit made by the appellant, if any.
The matter is disposed of in this Lok Adalat.
