Mr. Nazim Uddin Sarkar, the claimant in MAC Case No.109 of 2020(I), is present along with Mr. Talukdar, learned counsel. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, the legal representative of the New India Assurance Company Limited, is present.
It has been submitted that the parties have arrived at a settlement of an additional amount of Rs. 2,50,000/- over and above the award granted by the learned Tribunal.
Accordingly, the insurance company shall now deposit the additional amount of Rs.2,50,000/- before the Registry of this Court within a period of 6 weeks from today, which shall be disbursed to the claimant in accordance with the notification no.43 dated 26.06.2020.
This MAC Appeal is accordingly disposed of.
The copy of the settlement shall be kept on record.
