Smti. Shipra @ Sipra Das, the claimant in MAC Case 254/2018 is present along with Mr. M. Talukdar, learned counsel.

Mr. Imram Ali represents the appellant Insurer.

It has been submitted that the parties have arrived at a settlement of a total sum of Rs.16,00,000/- towards full and final satisfaction of the compensation to be paid to the claimant inclusive of the award given by the Tribunal.

It has also been submitted that an amount of Rs.7,36,056/- has been deposited before the Registry of this Court during the pendency of the appeal.

It is further submitted that the remaining amount of Rs.8,63,944/- shall be deposited before the Registry of this Court within a period of 6 (six) weeks from today.

The appeal is closed on settlement. The insurer/appellant shall deposit the amount of Rs.8,63,944/- before the Registry within 6 (six) weeks. On such deposit, the same shall be disbursed to the claimant in accordance with the relevant notification No. 43 dated 26.06.2020.
