Ms. Rimjim Das, the claimant before the learned Tribunal, is present along with Mr. N. I Choudhury, learned counsel. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, the representative of the New India Assurance Company Limited, is also present.

It has been submitted that the claim has been settled for an amount of Rs. 45,00,000/-, against the original awarded amount of Rs. 80,77,639/-, inclusive of interest.

The claimant shall furnish the bank details to the insurance company where the settled amount is to be credited.

The statutory deposit of Rs. 25,000/- made by the insurer shall be

refunded to the insurer/appellant as per procedure.

Accordingly, this MAC Appeal is closed on settlement.

A copy of this settlement shall be kept on record.
