Ms. Reba Das @ Reba Rani Das, the claimant, is present today. Ms. Hena Haflongbar, the legal representative of the New India Assurance Company Limited, is also present.
It has been submitted that the claim has been settled by and between the parties with an additional amount of Rs.2,50,000/- over and above the award granted by the learned Tribunal.
The award passed by the learned Tribunal has been satisfied by the insurer company. Accordingly, in view of the settlement arrived at, the insurance company shall now deposit another amount of Rs.2,50,000/- before the Registry of this Court within a period of 6 weeks from today. On such deposit being made, the claimant Ms. R. Das will be entitled to disburse the same in accordance with notification no.43 dated 26.06.2020.
This MAC Appeal is accordingly closed on settlement. TCR be returned.
The copy of the settlement shall be kept on record.
