Heard Mr. A. Islam, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Ms. H. Terangpi, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Opposite Parties No. 1 to 3, and Ms. A. Sarma, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Opposite Party No. 4.
2. Mr. Islam, learned counsel for the applicant, submits that for effective adjudication of the connected writ petition being WP(c)3620/2024, the Finance Department, Government of Assam, is necessary to be impleaded as a party respondent.
3. By way of filing this interlocutory application, the applicant seeks impleadment of the Finance Department represented by the Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Dispur, Guwahati-06, as party respondent No. 5 in the connected writ petition being WP(c)3620/2024.
4. The prayer for impleadment of the Finance Department represented by the Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Dispur, Guwahati-06, as party respondent No. 5, not being objected to by the learned counsels for the Opposite Parties in WP(c)3620/2024 is allowed.
5. Accordingly, let the Finance Department represented by the Principal Secretary to the Government of Assam, Dispur, Guwahati-06, be impleaded as party respondent No. 5 in the connected writ petition being WP(c)3620/2024.
