The appellant/Insurance Company is represented by the learned counsel. Both the claimants/respondents are present.

It has been submitted that the parties have agreed to a total settlement amount of Rs. 10,89,000/- as a full and final settlement of all claims against the impugned Judgment and Order dated 07.06.2024 in MAC (Death) Case No. 72/2017, passed by the Learned Member, MACT, Morigaon. Out of this, an amount of Rs. 7,99,000/- has already been paid. The remaining amount is Rs.

As agreed to by both the parties, the remaining amount shall be paid to respondent No. 1.

Accordingly, the matter is settled on compromise in terms of the pre-

settlement/compromise slip for the National Lok Adalat, which is made a part of record.

Both the parties shall put their signature in the pre-settlement compromise slip as token of acceptance for the settlement.

Accordingly, the National Insurance Co. Ltd. shall deposit the remaining settlement amount of Rs. 2,90,000/- before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 days from the date of this settlement order, failing which the amount shall carry interest at the rate of 9% per annum until the date of deposit.

The Registry shall disburse the amount to the respondent No. 1, upon proper verification and as per procedure.

Upon furnishing proof of the deposit of the entire settlement amount, the Registry shall release the statutory deposit made by the appellant, if any.
