The appellant/Insurance Company is represented by the learned counsel. Both the claimants/respondents are present.

It has been submitted that the parties have agreed to a total settlement amount of Rs. 12,00,000/- as a full and final settlement of all claims against the impugned Judgment and Award dated 01.04.2026 in MAC (Death) Case No.

48/2021, passed by the Learned Member, MACT, Morigaon.

Accordingly, the National Insurance Co. Ltd. shall deposit the settlement

amount of Rs. 12,00,000/- before the Registry of this Court within a period of 45 days from the date of this settlement order, failing which the amount shall carry interest at the rate of 9% per annum until the date of deposit.

The matter is settled on compromise in terms of the presettlement/compromise slip for the National Lok Adalat, which is made a part of the record.

Both parties shall affix their signatures to the pre-settlement compromise slip as a token of acceptance of the settlement.

The Registry shall disburse the amount to the respondent No. 1, Pompee
