1. The instant application for stay of the impugned judgment and award dated 09.07.2025 passed by the learned MACT, Nagaon in MAC Case No. 150/2020 has been preferred by the applicant on the ground that the applicant has already filed an appeal against the impugned judgment and award, which has been admitted.

2. Learned counsel Mr. S. Goswami for the applicant submits that the said appeal has already been admitted by this court and the appellant has taken good grounds for appeal, which is likely to succeed and therefore, if the impugned judgment and award dated 09.07.2025 is not stayed during the pendency of the appeal, the applicant shall suffer irreparable loss.

3. This court has considered the submission of the learned counsel and the facts and circumstances of the case. Accordingly, the impugned judgment and award dated 09.07.2025 passed by the learned member MACT, Nagaon in MAC Case No. 150/ 2020 is hereby suspended during the pendency of the MAC appeal subject to the condition that the applicant shall deposit 50% of the awarded amount within six weeks before the registry of this court.
