Heard Mr. S.P. Das, learned counsel appearing for the applicants. Also heard Ms. S. Sharma, learned Standing Counsel, Health Department, appearing for the respondent Nos. 3, 4 & 6 and Ms. C. Sharma, learned counsel appearing for the respondent No. 7.

By way of this application, the Deputy Commissioner (District Commissioner), Kamrup Metro, being the Designated Authority CumChairperson of Local Level Committee, Lichubagan, Hengrabari, Guwahati, Assam, PIN-781036, is sought to be impleaded as proposed respondent No. 8 in W.P.(C) No. 1118/2026.

3. Mr. S. P. Das, learned counsel appearing for the applicants, submits that as per the Notification dated 09.02.2023, the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (Metro), is the Chairperson of the Local Level Committee constituted by the state government for the purpose of issuing Limited Guardianship Certificate.

4. In view of the aforesaid notification, the presence of the Deputy Commissioner, Kamrup (Metro), is essential for proper and effective adjudication of the connected writ petition.

5. That being so, this court in the interest of justice, deems appropriate to allow the impleading application. As such, the Deputy Commissioner (District Commissioner), Kamrup Metro, is impleaded as respondent No. 8 in W.P(C) No. 1118/2026.

6. Let an amended cause title be submitted before the Registry of this Court.

7. The interlocutory application is accordingly disposed of.
