The claimant, Sri Rajib Chetry before the Tribunal/appellant in this appeal is present along with Mr. A. Brahma, learned counsel. Ms. Hena Haflongbar representative of the New India Assurance Company Limited is also present.

It has been submitted that the parties have come to a settlement at a consolidated amount of Rs.3,60,000/-, against the awarded sum of Rs.1,75,076/-

Since the parties have come to a settlement, the appeal can be closed. Accordingly, the claimants shall now furnish the details of the bank account where the settled amount is required to be deposited.

On such furnishing of the details, the Insurer shall deposit the settled amount to the bank account.

The MAC Appeal was yet to be registered since the condonation of delay

in preferring the appeal was yet to be allowed.

However, in view of the settlement arrived at, the I.A. application praying for condonation of delay is closed.
