Heard Mr. M.A Sheikh, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. D.P. Goswami, learned Addl. P.P appearing for the State.
Invoking Section 482 BNSS, the petitioners (six in number), who are stated to be family members of the complainant through marriage. They have preferred this anticipatory bail application in connection with CR Case No. 948/2025, pending before the learned JMFC, Nagaon u/s 85/296/3(5) of BNS.
It is submitted that the immediate cause for apprehension is the notice issued for their appearance before the learned court. Although, the specified date has passed, they wish to appear and co-operate with the trial.
The gist of the allegations in the complaint pertains to Section 85 BNSS (cruelty and demand of dowry).

Upon considering the matter, the anticipatory bail petition is allowed.
Accordingly, the petitioners shall appear before the learned court below within 10 days. Upon their appearance, they shall be released on bail of ₹20,000/- each with one surety of the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned JMFC, Nagaon subject to the conditions that they shall co-operate with the trial and shall not tamper with evidence. The learned court would be at liberty to impose any other conditions, if it deems necessary.
