Heard Mr. D. Panging, learned Senior Counsel, assisted by Mr. C. Tajo, learned counsel appearing for the accused-applicant. Also heard Ms. T. Jini, learned Addl. P.P., representing the State respondent.

This is an application filed under Section 482 of the BNSS, 2023, praying for grant of pre-arrest bail to the accused-applicant in connection with LKB/PS/FIR/No. 38/2026, registered under Sections 117(2)/3(5) of the BNS,

2023, read with Section 27(1) of the Arms Act.

The case relates to an alleged incident involving firing of gunshots which took place at Hime village on 10.08.2026 at around 9.30 AM, in which eight (8) persons from the neighboring State of Assam side are stated to have allegedly sustained injuries. Following the occurrence, an enquiry was conducted by Dy. S.P., Likabali, and an enquiry report dated 11.08.2026 was submitted before the S.P., Lower Siang. The said report was thereafter, forwarded to the Officer In-charge, Likabali P.S., whereupon the same was treated as an FIR and registered the aforesaid P.S. case.

A co-ordinate bench of this court, vide order dated 21.08.2026 has granted interim pre-arrest bail to the accused-applicant with a direction to appear before the Investigating Officer within 10 days from the date of the order.

The learned Senior Counsel, appearing for the accused-applicant submits that in terms of the aforesaid direction, the accused-applicant has appeared before the Investigating Officer and got his statements recorded.

The Case Diary in the instant case has been received and the same is perused.

Taking into account the fact that the accused-applicant is cooperating with the investigation, this Court is of the considered opinion that the interim pre-arrest bail order dated 21.08.2026, should be made absolute.

Accordingly, the instant AB application is disposed of by making the interim pre-arrest bail order dated 21.08.2026, absolute.
