Heard Mr. A.B.T. Haque, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. U. Sarma, learned standing counsel for the respondent Nos. 1, 2 and 4; and Mr. B. Deuri, learned Government Advocate for the respondent No. 3.

In this petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioner has prayed for issuing direction to the respondent authorities to place the application of the petitioner before the District Level Committee (DLC).

Mr. Haque, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the father of the petitioner, who was serving as an Assistant Teacher in Model Higher Secondary School, Sribhumi, died in harness on 21.02.2017, leaving behind his wife and the petitioner, and thereafter, the petitioner being the daughter and having possessed the requisite qualification, had filed an application on 03.05.2017, along with bio-data for being appointed on compassionate ground. Mr. Haque also submits that thereafter, vide minutes of the meeting dated 04.03.2019 of the DLC, Sribhumi, the application of the petitioner for compassionate appointment was deferred for consideration in the next DLC meeting, but till date, the application of the petitioner has not been placed before the DLC for consideration. Mr. Haque further submits that this petition may be disposed of at this motion stage itself, by directing the respondent authorities to place the application of the petitioner before the next available DLC, Sribhumi.

Mr. Deuri, learned Government Advocate for the respondent No. 3, submits that he has no objection in the event of disposing of this petition by directing

the respondent authorities to place the application of the petitioner before the next available DLC, Sribhumi.

Accordingly, taking note of the submissions of learned counsel for both the parties, and also considering the facts and circumstances on the record and as agreed upon, this Court is inclined to dispose of this petition by directing the respondent authorities, especially the respondent No. 3, to place the application of the petitioner before the next available DLC, Sribhumi.

In terms of above, this writ petition stands disposed of at this motion stage itself.
