The grievance of the petitioner is that the Passport of the petitioner bearing No. S8763664 was seized and submitted before the passport authority by the Officer-in-Charge, Hojai Police Station. Alleging that the impugned action is without the authority of law, the writ petitioner has approached this Court by filing the instant writ petition.

None appears for the petitioner on call. However, Ms. K. Phukan, learned CGC, submits that the Passport No. S8763664 issued to the petitioner was dispatched by the Regional Passport Authority through the speed post on 27.10.2023.

Be that as it may, as none appears for the petitioner on call pursuant to withdrawal of the engaged counsel, matter stands dismissed for non prosecution.
