service report reflects that respondents No. 8 and 9 are yet to be served.

This writ petition was filed by the petitioner with a grievance that although the petitioner had filed an FIR before the respondent No. 5 on 10.01.2017, which was registered as Panbazar P.S. Case No. 30/2017 under Section 406/468/420/506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, no steps were being taken up

by the concerned authorities for conducting an investigation as required under

the law. The petitioner had therefore, approached this Court by making a prayer

¶27

to direct the respondent authorities more particularly the respondents No. 2 to 5

to take up investigation of the case. Our attention has been drawn by Mr. Tiwari,

learned counsel appearing for the petitioner to the affidavit-in-opposition filed on behalf of the respondent No. 5 where at paragraph 15, the deponent therein who was Officer-in-Charge has stated as follows:

“ That with regard to the statement made in paragraph 14 to the Writ petition, the deponent begs to state that he has already stated in foregoing paragraph in the reply statements. However, the case was returned in Charge Sheet against the 6 accused persons vide panbazar PS CS No. 100 dated 27.08.2019 U/S 420/447/506/34 IPC.”

3 . Mr. Tiwari, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that this writ

petition may be closed as the investigation has been completed and further

¶34

steps have been taken up by the respondent authorities.

4 . The counsel for the respondents No. 1, to 5 & 6, 7, 10 and 11 also support his contentions. In view of the above, this writ petition is closed as it does not require any further adjudication or direction to be passed to the respondents authorities.
