Mr. S.J. Sarmah, the learned counsel appears on behalf of the petitioner. Ms. S. Sarma, the learned Standing Counsel, Gauhati High Court appears on behalf of the respondent Nos. 1, 3 and 4 and Ms. B. Choudhury, the learned Legal Aid Counsel appears on behalf of the respondent No. 5.

This Court duly takes note of that the issue which has been raised in the instant writ petition no longer survives in view of the judgment pronounced by this Court on 19.06.2025 passed in WP(C) No. 4004/2024 whereby the selection of the respondent No. 5 was set aside.

Ms. S. Sarma, the learned Standing Counsel, Gauhati High Court further submitted that in pursuance to the judgment passed by this Court on 19.06.2025, the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Golaghat has also discharged the respondent No. 5 from his service.

Taking into account the above, nothing further remains to be adjudicated upon in the instant writ petition, for which, the instant writ petition stands closed.
