Heard Mr. J. Hatimuria, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. J.K. Goswami, learned Addl. Senior Government Advocate for the respondents.

The petitioner is before this Court on the ground that his case, although recommended by the DLC vide Minutes dated 17.08.2023 and the same was not considered by the SLC.

While the matter is situated thus, the Government of Assam issued the Notification dated 18.09.2024 and the case of the petitioner therefore was never placed before the SLC. Several writ petitions have been filed before this Court and in pursuance thereto, the Government has published an Executive Order dated 30.08.2025 whereas standard operating procedure for disposal of matters of compassionate appointment have been laid down.

On 30.08.2025 also a notice was published vide Notice No. ABP.

107/2024/Pt/100 whereby the particulars mentioned in the Notice was sought for from the applicants who were seeking their consideration for appointment on compassionate ground. The last date for submission of these information as per the notice is fixed on 15.09.2025.

In view of the above, the petitioner is permitted to furnish his details in terms of the Notice No. ABP. 107/2024/Pt/100 dated 30.08.2025 before the concerned authorities. The authorities thereafter will proceed to consider the case of the petitioner in terms of the SOP dated 30.08.2025.

The writ petition accordingly stands disposed of.
