Heard Mr. N. Z. Choudhury, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. A. R. Bhuyan, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. P. N. Sarma, learned Standing Counsel for the Elementary Education Department and Mr. A. B. T. Haque, learned counsel for the respondent No. 5.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of enactment of The Assam Repealing Act, 2020, whereby, the Assam Madrassa Education Provincialization Act, 1995 and the Assam Madrass Education (Provincialization of Services of Employees and Re-organization of Madrassa Educational Institutions Act, 2018 had been repealed, this writ petition has become infructuous.

In view of the aforesaid submissions, the writ petition stands closed being infructuous.

¶19

However, it is needless to say that if the petitioner is having any fresh cause of action, he will be at liberty to approach this Court once again.
