This writ petition is filed by the petitioners essentially seeking a relief that the respondent No.2 be directed to release the compensation in respect of zeerat, plots of land of the petitioners of village- Kamalajari, Mouza- Sonapur under Sonapur Revenue Circle in the district of Kamrup (Metro), Assam.
Initially the writ petition was listed before the learned Single Judge and the learned Single Judge has passed an order on 14.12.2022. Pursuant to the observations made by the learned Single Judge in the order dated 14.12.2022, the Registry had placed the matter before Hon’ble the then Chief Justice and, as per the order passed by Hon’ble the then Chief Justice, the matter is placed before the Division Bench.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners at length and taking into consideration the observations made by the learned Single Judge in paragraph 11 of the order dated 14.12.2022, we find no merit in this petition as we are in perfect agreement with the observations made by the learned Single Judge in paragraph

Resultantly, this writ petition is dismissed without having been any merit therein.
