None appears for the petitioner on call.

The present writ petition was filed alleging that though the contractual service of the petitioner as Head, Centre for Natural Disaster Management at Assam Administrative Staff College was over on 3^rd July, 2012, the petitioner was not formally released and dues were not paid.

In the aforesaid backdrop, when the writ petition was taken up for the first time on 21.12.2012, this Court passed a direction that if there is any dues payable to the petitioner, the same shall be paid and if any release order is required to be issued, shall be issued by the authority.

Subsequently, this Court by its order dated 16.09.2013, further issued a direction that the petitioner shall be allowed to join in his parent department, i.e. the Jorhat Engineering College irrespective of any release order issued by the Assam Administrative Staff College.

In view of the aforesaid two orders, the relief sought for has already been granted to the petitioner. Accordingly, in the considered opinion of this Court, nothing survives to be adjudicated in the present writ petition. Accordingly, same stands closed.
