The grievance of the writ petitioner is non-payment of arrear of salary/ gratuity and other retirement benefits payable to the petitioner. The petitioner was serving as watchman cum peon under the Assam Plains Tribes Development Corporation since 1984 and retired from service on 31.03.2022.

This court under its order dated 29.06.2022 issued notice of motion. Mr. Kalita, learned counsel for the respondent No. 4 and Mr. Dhar, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 1 and 3 submit that an amount of Rs. 11,39,824.00 has been sanctioned and released to the petitioner against the retiral due and arrear of salary.

In that view of the matter, nothing survives to be adjudicated in the present writ petition. Accordingly, same stands closed with a liberty to the petitioner to approach this court once again if the payment as stated to have been made is actually not made or some grievances are yet to be redressed. A copy of the sanction order is kept on record and marked as Document ‘X’.

With the aforesaid, this writ petition stands disposed of.
