Heard Mr. R.A. Choudhury, learned counsel for the petitioner.

The father of the petitioner, Late Nizam Uddin Mazumder while serving as Driver/Grade-IV employee in the Office of the Joint Director of Health Services, Hailakandi, died in harness on 31.03.2000. Thereafter, the petitioner made an application for appoint on compassionate grounds. The District Level Committee, Hailakandi in its meeting held on 11.03.2022 and extended sitting of the same held on 16.03.2022, recommended the case of the petitioner for appointment to Grade-IV post against the vacancy submitted by the Joint Director of Health Services, Hailakandi. The grievance of the petitioner is that his case is yet to be considered by the State Level Committee till date.

Considering the limited prayer involved, this writ petition is disposed of directing the State Level Committee to consider the case of the petitioner in its next immediate sitting. However, if the case of the petitioner has already been

considered by the State Level Committee, the outcome of such consideration shall be communicated to the petitioner forthwith.

With the above observations and directions, the instant writ petition is disposed of.
