Mr. B. Purkayastha, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner has submitted that during the pendency of this writ petition, the petitioner has preferred another writ petition, being WP(C) No.3809/2024.
It is submitted by Mr. Purkayastha that in view of the fact that the petitioner has already preferred another writ petition which is pending consideration, he does not want to press this writ petition at this stage and accordingly, wants to withdraw the same. Hence, the instant writ petition [WP(C) No.1489/2023] is dismissed as withdrawn.
It is made clear that dismissal of the present writ petition on withdrawal will not affect the merits of the pending writ petition [WP(C) No.3809/2024] filed by the petitioner.
