None appears for the writ petitioner when the matter is called up. Ms. R. Devi, learned CGC appearing for the respondents is present.
It appears that the petitioner’s counsel was not only absent on the previous occasion but the learned counsel for the writ petitioner also did not appear on earlier occasion as well. Be that as it may, the writ petitioner herein was serving as CT/GD under the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). He was removed from service by the order dated 31-012012 on the charge of bigamy. The appeal preferred by the petitioner against the order of removal from service was also rejected by the appellate authority. Aggrieved thereby the present writ petition had been instituted.
The petitioner has practically admitted his second marriage. He is also admittedly out of service since last more than 11 years. It appears that due to long lapse of time the petitioner has lost interest in pursuing the matter.
This writ petition, therefore, stands dismissed for non-prosecution.
