There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner today on call.

The petitioner had instituted the instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India claiming himself to be a former President of the School Managing Committee [SMC] of Khelmati High School in Sonitpur district, to challenge an order dated 15.02.2014 whereby the Mission Director, Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission directed procurement of School uniforms exclusively from the Assam Small Industries Development Corporation [ASIDC] Ltd.

There were two other writ petitions, W.P.[C] no. 1596/2014 & W.P.[C] no. 1663/2014, which were connected with the instant writ petition. Earlier on 24.01.2023, the learned counsel appearing for the said two writ petitions - W.P. [C] no. 1596/2014 & W.P.[C] no. 1663/2014 - had submitted on 24.01.2023 that the subject-matter of the said two writ petitions had become infructuous. In view of such submission advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioners therein, the said two writ petitions were dismissed as infructuous. On 24.01.2023, none appeared to represent the petitioner in the instant writ petition. This writ petitioner was, therefore, ordered to be listed today.

As there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner even today despite call, it transpires that the petitioner is not interested to pursue the instant writ petition. Accordingly, the instant writ petition is dismissed for nonprosecution.
