Heard Mr. D.P. Borah, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. N. Bordoloi, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6.

The instant application has been preferred alleging non-compliance of the direction made in the order dated 03.04.2017 passed in the writ petition, W.P.[C] no. 1948/2017.

Ms. Bordoloi, learned counsel for the respondent nos. 4, 5 & 6 has submitted that an order has been passed by the respondent no. 4 on 19.05.2023, whereby, the order of settlement made in favour of the petitioner has been cancelled with a further direction to refund the premium amount deposited by the petitioner along with interest @ 12% per annum from the date of premium.

In view of the order passed on 19.05.2023, this contempt application is closed.

A copy of the order dated 19.05.2023 be kept as part of the record. Ms. Bordoloi shall also furnish a copy of the order dated 19.05.2023 to Mr. Bora, learned counsel for the petitioner.
