Heard Mr. M U Mondal, learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms. R B Bora, learned Standing counsel, BTC for the contemnors/respondents.

It is submitted by Ms. R B Bora, Standing counsel, BTC that pursuant to the order dated 25.11.2020 passed in WP(C) No. No. 4926/2020, the case of the petitioner for his compassionate appointment under the Die-in-Harness scheme was placed before the District Level Committee for compassionate appointment, BTC on 01.11.2021 and the said committee after considering the materials did not recommend the name of the petitioner for his appointment on compassionate ground under the Die-in-Harness Scheme as he did not fulfill the criteria of 5% reserved quota.

Since the respondents have already complied with the order dated 25.11.2020 passed in WP(C) No. No. 4926/2020, as such, there is no contempt of Court on the part of the respondents.

Accordingly, this contempt petition being infructuous stands dismissed.

Notice of contempt issued upon the respondents earlier on 28.09.2022 is hereby recalled.

The instructions placed before the Court today by Ms. R B Bora, Standing counsel, BTC regarding the consideration of the case of the petitioner by the DLC, BTC be kept as part of the records.
