The petitioner’s case is that he is a President of a Construction Committee, to whom construction work was allotted, with a value of Rs. 5 lakhs. The petitioner completed his construction work on 03.04.2018. Though the petitioner has been given Rs. 3 lakhs at the time of award of the construction work, the petitioner has not been paid the balance amount of Rs. 2 lakhs. The petitioner’s counsel prays that a direction may be issued to the respondents, to verify the construction work undertaken by the petitioner and pay the balance amount payable to him, within a specified time period.
Mr. S Neog, learned counsel for the respondents submits that he has no objection to the prayer made by the petitioner’s counsel.
In view of the consent of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of, with a direction to the respondent No. 2, to verify the construction work undertaken by the petitioner and thereafter to pay the petitioner the amount due to him. The entire exercise should be completed within a period of 2 (two) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
