Mr. T. Sheikh, learned counsel for the petitioner states that this writ petition is instituted claiming for a direction to the respondent authorities to pay an amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- as ex-gratia payment in terms of the notification dated 15.11.2014 on the death of late Abu Bakkar Sk.
Ms. N. Bordoloi, learned counsel for the respondents in the Revenue Department has produced an order dated 21.06.2022 of the Deputy Commissioner, Dhubri, which provides that on the death of Abu Bakkar Sk, an amount of Rs. 2,00,000/- had been paid to Smt. Gulo Bibi, who is also the present writ petitioner.
In view of such order, no further is adjudication is required. Accordingly, writ petition stands closed.
A copy of the said order dated 21.06.2022 is kept on record.
