Heard Ms. R. Baruah, learned counsel for the petitioner as well as Mr. T.C. Chutia, learned counsel for the respondent.

Ms. R. Baruah, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was engaged as a office peon in the Goalpara Municipal Board on 12.05.2016 at a fixed pay of Rs.6000/- per month, which was later increased to Rs.9000/- per month. The petitioner’s service was regularized vide the Goalpara Municipal Board meeting on 31.08.2020 and the same was communicated to the petitioner vide letter dated 01.09.2020. The petitioner’s service was regularized in the pay scale of Rs.12000/- 52,000 (PB-1)-GP-3900 with all other allowances w.e.f 01.09.2020.

The grievance of the petitioner is that he has not been paid his salary from 01.09.2020 and neither is he allowed to sign the attendance register.

The petitioner’s counsel submits that as the petitioner’s representation dated 01.03.2022 had not been disposed of by the respondents, a direction may be issued to the respondent no.3 to examine the petitioner’s representation and dispose of the same by way of a speaking order.

Mr. T.C. Chutia, learned counsel for the respondents submits that though he has received para-wise comments in this case, he does not have any objection to the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner.

In view of consent of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondent no.3, to examine the petitioner’s representation dated 01.03.2022 and take a decision on the same by way of a speaking order, within a period of 2(two) months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.

This writ petition is accordingly disposed of.
