Heard Ms. K Akhtar, learned counsel for the applicant. Also heard Mr. S Bora, learned counsel for the respondents.

WP(C)No.1049/2022 has been instituted by the writ petitioner who is an employee in the Guwahati Municipal Corporation claiming that he is entitled to

some promotion. By referring to an affidavit-in-opposition in another writ petition, the learned counsel for the writ petitioner states that the promotion of the writ petitioner as claimed would depend upon the staff pattern which may be provided by the Guwahati Development Department of the Government of Assam.

In the circumstance, it is contended that the Guwahati Development Department of the Government of Assam is also a necessary party in WP(C)No.1049/2022.

Mr. S Bora, learned counsel for the respondents does not object to such impleadment.

Accordingly the Guwahati Development Department of the Government of Assam through its Principal Secretary is impleaded as the respondent No.4 in WP(C)No.1049/2022.

Registry to incorporate the necessary correction in the cause-title of WP(C)No.1049/2022.
