Heard Mr. HA Ahmed, learned counsel for the petitioner, who submits that the petitioner’s father was serving as a Veterinary Field Assistant under the establishment of the Officer-In-Charge, Intensive Cattle Development Project. He died-in-harness on 27.10.2011. The petitioner filed an application for compassionate appointment on 03.12.2011.

The petitioner’s counsel submits that the petitioner’s application for compassionate appointment was forwarded to the District Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Officer, Nagaon by the Officer-In-Charge, Intensive Cattle Development Project, Nagaon vide letter dated 03.12.2011. The petitioner does not know if the application has been placed before the District Level Committee (DLC), Nagaon for its consideration. He, accordingly, prays that the petitioner’s application for compassionate appointment be placed before the respondent No. 4 for its consideration in its next meeting, subject to the condition that the same has not been decided earlier.

Ms. MD Borah, learned counsel for the respondents submits that she has got no objection to the prayer made by the petitioner’s counsel.

In view of the consent of the parties, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to place the petitioner’s application for compassionate appointment before the respondent No. 4 for consideration in its next meeting, provided the same has not been considered earlier. If the same has been considered earlier, the decision should be communicated to the

petitioner. It is needless to add that the petitioner’s application would have to be considered in terms of the guidelines and parameters laid down by the Government and the Courts.
