Heard Mr. NN Upadhyay, learned counsel for the petitioner. Also heard Mr. PK Munir, learned counsel for the Assam Khadi and Village Industries Board.
Perused the petition as well as the annexures furnished therewith.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that once the petitioner had approached this Court with an application under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking redressal of his grievances. However, he has submitted that in the earlier case, being Civil Rule No. 1712/1998, there was a direction issued by this Court to the respondent/Board to consider the representation of the petitioner by constituting departmental promotional committee as regard his promotion. However, it has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the representation of the petitioner so filed after the aforesaid direction in the aforesaid case has not been disposed of yet. Therefore, his grievances being not redressed, he has approached this Court again with this present writ petition.
However, the learned counsel for the respondent/Board has submitted that if the petitioner files a fresh representation now mentioning his grievances, the same would be considered by the aforesaid Board by constituting a departmental promotional committee. He further submits that he would advise the Board accordingly.

In view of the above, the petitioner may file his representation within a period of one month from today and the aforesaid Board shall dispose of the representation within 2 (two) months from the date of receipt of the same.
As agreed to by the learned counsel for the respective parties, this petition is disposed of with the above observations.
