Heard Mr. M. Saikia, learned counsel for the applicant and Mr. T.K. Mishra, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, Assam for the respondent.
By order dated 28.09.2020 passed in A.B. No. 2156/2020, the applicant Lakhi Gogoi was granted pre-arrest bail in connection with Dispur P.S. Case No. 581/2020 (corresponding

to G.R. Case No. 3064/2020) registered under Sections 202/379/406/376/313/506 IPC, directing him to appear before the Investigating Officer of the said case on or before 06.10.2020.
The applicant has stated that as he was out of the State, he could not appear before the concerned Investigating Officer on or before 06.10.2020 and is seeking seven days’ time to appear before the concerned Investigating Officer pursuant to the order dated 28.09.2020 noted above.
After hearing the learned counsels for the parties and considering the entire aspects of the matter, the applicant is now directed to appear before the concerned Investigating Officer of Dispur P.S. Case No. 581/2020 (corresponding to G.R. Case No. 3064/2020) on or before 20.03.2021 .
However, the period of seven days granted to the applicant to appear before the concerned Investigating Officer of Dispur P.S. Case No. 581/2020 (corresponding to G.R. Case No. 3064/2020) shall not be extended beyond 20.03.2021.
With the aforesaid direction, this Interlocutory Application stands disposed of.
This order shall be read together with the order dated 28.09.2020 passed in A.B. No. 2156/2020.
