Heard Mr. I. Haque, learned counsel for the applicant-writ petitioner and Mr. S.M. Hassan, learned counsel for the opposite party-respondent nos. 2–5.

This interlocutory application has been filed seeking impleadment of “the Chief Electrical Inspector cum Adviser, Government of Assam, Housefed, Dispur, Guwahati–781006” as a party-respondent no. 6 in the connected writ petition, W.P.(C) no. 4663/2021. The connected writ petition, W.P.(C) no. 4663/2021 has been preferred by the petitioner seeking compensation for the alleged death of her husband, Late Bibungsa Ramchiary due to electrocution.

I have gone through the averments made in the application. Having regard to the subject-matter involved in the connected writ petition, W.P.(C) no. 4663/2021, this Court is of the considered opinion that “the Chief Electrical Inspector cum Adviser, Government of Assam, Housefed, Dispur–781006” is a necessary party in the proceedings in the connected writ petition, W.P.(C) no. 4663/2021. Accordingly, this interlocutory application seeking impleadment of “the Chief Electrical Inspector cum Adviser, Government of Assam, Housefed, Dispur–781006” as party-respondent no. 6 in the connected writ petition is allowed.
