Heard Mr. Gias Uddin, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. S. S. Roy, learned Government Advocate, Assam for the respondent No. 1. Also heard Mrs. R. Deka, learned Standing Counsel, APDCL for the respondent Nos. 2 to 7.

It is contended by the petitioners that in pursuance of the advertisement dated 14.08.2018 issued by the APDCL and its two sisters concerned for filling up of different posts, including the post of Office-cum-Field Assistant, Sahayak and Mali, the petitioners, being eligible, applied for such posts and the written test for the said advertised posts was held on 28.04.2019. It is contended by the petitioners that they did not receive any Call Letters/Admit Cards in their names for the said selection.

The petitioners submitted that this Court in a similar matter involving same issues, by judgment and order dated 27.08.2019 passed in WP(C) No. 2643/2019 and other connected cases, considered the case of those petitioners.

On instructions, Mrs. Deka, learned Standing counsel, APDCL, submitted that the cases of the petitioners have already been considered by the Screening Committee, specially constituted by the respondent APDCL for the said purpose and the decision of the said committee is awaited.

In view of the said stand of the APDCL, this writ petition is disposed of with the observation that if the petitioners are aggrieved with any such decision of the said Screening Committee, they may approach the appropriate forum for redressal of their grievances, if any, against such finding of the concerned Screening Committee.

With the above observations and directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
