This is an application under Section 439 CrPC, filed by the petitioner, namely, Sanju Urang @ Baba, seeking bail in connection with Titabor PS Case No. 483/2019 under Section 120(B)/379 IPC read with Section 3(1) of PDPP Act (GR Case No. 1032/2019) .

According to the FIR lodged by the General Manager, ONGC, a valve was detected on Track Pure Line of ONGC in nearby drain passing through paddy field of village Uranggaon under Dangdora area under Madhapur Police outpost, Jorhat. According to the ONGC, no such valve was installed by ONGC and it was suspected to be installed to steal crude oil from the truck pipeline illegally. The accused-person was arrested on 22.12.2019 on suspicion that he may be involved in such theft of crude oil by installing such valve in truck pipeline.

Considering the nature of accusation and the other documents on record which shows that no incriminating material is recovered from the possession of the accused-petitioner, it is considered that release of the accused-petitioner will not hamper the investigation of the case.

Accordingly, accused-petitioner, named above is allowed to go on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.20,000/- with one surety of the like amount in connection with Titabor PS Case No. 483/2019 to the satisfaction of the learned SDJM, Titabor.
