Heard Ms. N Phukan, learned Standing counsel, Secondary Education Department for the respondent Nos. 1, 2 & 4, Mr. S R Baruah, learned Government advocate, Assam for the respondent No. 3 and Mr. U C Das, learned counsel for the respondent No. 7.
Pursuant to the order dated 10.12.2018, respondents have placed before the Court that as per the direction of the Court dated 02.03.2016 passed in WP(C) No. 1359/2016, a fresh selection was held for the post of Junior Assistant in Agia Balijana Girls’ High School, Agia in the district of Goalpara and after due selection made by the School Selection Committee that was approved by the authority concerned, the Inspector of Schools, Goalpara by his order under Memo No. GDC/Gr.-III/Pt-I/201516/4852 dated 15.02.2017 appointed the respondent No. 7, being the first amongst the selected candidates in the post of Junior Assistant in said Agia Balijana Girls’ High School, Agia. In this writ petition, the petitioner has prayed for a direction to the respondents to initiate a fresh selection process for the post of Junior Assistant in said Agia Balijana Girls’ High School, Agia, Goalpara, as noted above.
This writ petition stands dismissed for non-prosecution.
The appointment order of the respondent No. 7 dated 15.02.2017 issued by the respondent No. 4, Inspector of Schools, Goalpara be kept as a part of the record.
