In this petition, the petitioner has sought for a direction to the respondent authorities to regularize his service in the post of LDA (Grade-III) in accordance with law. Though, the learned counsel for the petitioner is absent, considering the claim made in his petition and also submission made by the learned Additional Senior Government Advocate appearing for the State, this Court is of the view that the writ petition can be disposed of with the direction to the respondent authorities to consider the claim of the petitioner for regularization in the post of LDA (Grade-III) in accordance with law.
Mr. D. Nath, learned Additional Senior Government Advocate has submitted that there is already a decision rendered by a Division Bench of this Court reported in 2017 4 GLR 493 (State of Assam –vs- Upen Das) which has dealt with the issue of regularization. It goes without saying that the authorities will consider the claim of the petitioner for regularization in accordance with law and also as per the decisions rendered by this Court in this regard.
The aforesaid exercise shall be undertaken by the respondent authorities within a period of two months from today.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of.
