the loan, Defendant No.2 had mortgaged his land and hypothecated his assets (fully detailed in para No.3A of the application). Again on 16.06.2020, at the request of the defendants, applicant Bank granted a loan of Rs.14.00 Lacs under G.E.C.L. facility to defendant No.1 through its proprietor i.e. defendant No.2. Both the loans were chargeable at different rates of interest. On 31.10.2022, a sum of Rs.98,07,847.10p was due from the defendants. Despite repeated requests, defendants did not make the repayment. Hence, this application.
