Punjab National Bank has filed this Chamber Appeal against the order dated 28.10.2025, whereby the Registrar has declined to register this case on the ground that the Bank had not produced the original documents on 23.09.2025.
In the appeal, it is alleged that the original documents were not available at the time of verification and the concerned officer was not available due to his personal difficulties and thus, the documents could not be produced. I am of the considered view, that the Bank has shown sufficient cause.
Accordingly, the appeal is allowed and disposed of. The Appellant Bank may produce the documents before the Registrar on any working day upto 30.03.2026, who would register the case. Registry is also directed to restore N.D.N. No. 2298/2025 for verification of documents.
A copy of this order be sent to the Registrar and the Bank. File be consigned to the record room after due complianfe.
