Petitioner had been granted parole by the Competent Authority vide order dated 22.12.2025.

The period of such parole is two weeks, which is expiring on 14.01.2026.

Now, the present writ petition has been filed seeking extension of parole for another period of four weeks.

It is submitted that the wife of the petitioner is in advanced stage of pregnancy with her expected date of delivery being 29^th instant and there is no one else in the family to take requisite care of her and since the parents of petitioner have already passed away, the parole period may be extended by four weeks.
