The Bench noted that on 30.04.2026 it had already reserved liberty to the petitioner to agitate all issues of his alleged illegal detention in appropriate proceedings, including before the learned Single Judge, where he had already filed a bail application. On the question of compliance with the Supreme Court's directions in Paramvir Singh Saini v. Today, our attention has been drawn to the order dated 04.05.2026 passed by the Supreme Court in Suo Moto Writ Petition (Civil) No. 7/2025, titled In Re Lack of Functional CCTVs In Police Stations , whereby the Supreme Court is considering the issue of compliance with its directions in Paramvir Singh Saini (supra) and has directed the learned Amicus Curiae appointed therein to hold another meeting with the Home Secretaries (or his nominee not below the rank of the Joint Secretary/Additional Secretary) of the Central Government as well as of all the States and Union Territories, either physically or virtually, as the case may be, on 06.05.2026. The said petition has been directed to be listed again before the Supreme Court on 13.05.2026.

As the matter of compliance is being watched over by the Supreme Court, we do not deem it appropriate to proceed with a similar exercise in the present petition.

We, however, reserve liberty in the petitioner to approach the learned Amicus Curiae appointed by the Supreme Court, if he so desires.

The petition is disposed of with the above directions.
