By way of the present petition, the petitioners seek quashing of the FIR bearing No. 294/2016, registered at Police Station Neb Sarai, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 308/323/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter „IPC' ).

Issue notice. The learned APP accepts notice on behalf of the State and submits that as per the report of MLCs the nature of injury is simple and there are no criminal antecedents of the present petitioners.

All the petitioners are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsel and Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, Police Station, Neb Sarai, Delhi.

misunderstanding a quarrel took place between the petitioners and respondent nos. 3 & 4 to which, respondent no. 3 & 4 had suffered some injury. Upon the complaint by respondent no. 3, the present FIR came to be registered against the petitioners. It is stated that with intervention of the family and friends, the parties have now amicably settled their dispute vide Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) dated 15.12.2025.

On a query made by this Court, respondent nos. 3 & 4 who have been identified by the IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. Therefore, she has no objection if the present FIR is quashed.

In view of the above, that the parties have amicably resolved their differences out of their own free will, and without any coercion, no useful purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIR and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIR in question.

Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 294/2016, registered at Police Station Neb Sarai, Delhi, for the commission of offences punishable under Sections 308/323/34 of IPC and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
