By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner is seeking following

prayers:

“a). Writ, order, or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction against Respondents Nos.2, Delhi Police and 4 (Meta Platforms India Pvt. Ltd. / Instagram) to immediately act on the representation of the petitioner and to review, reverse, and rescind the arbitrary automated suspension of, and fully restore, the Petitioner’s interlinked personal digital assets and Instagram accounts, namely: @bhaipreetsingh, @bhaipreetsirohi, @rallyforequalrights, and @PreetRashtrawadi.

b). Writ, order or direction in the nature of MANDAMUS or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction against Respondents No. 2 and 3 (Delhi Police) to take immediate legal action upon the Petitioner's complaints dated 15.06.2026 and 18.06.2026 by registering a regular First Information Report

(FIR), initiating a technical cyber investigation, and issuing statutory notices to preserve the subscriber verification information and IP logs of the malicious electronic accounts [email protected] and [email protected].

c) Direct Respondent No. 3 to issue immediate statutory legal notices to Microsoft Outlook and Meta Platforms to preserve and produce all IP logs, device identifiers, subscriber verification records, and login histories for the malicious email accounts [email protected] and [email protected].”

Issue notice. The learned CGSC accepts notice on behalf of UOI/respondent no. 1.

The learned counsel appearing for the respondent no. 2, through video-conferencing also accepts notice.

Heard the learned counsels appearing for the parties.

It is not disputed that the petitioner has not approached the Grievance Appellate Committee under Rule 3A of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner shall file an appropriate application before the Appellate Committee.

Upon such an application being filed, the Appellate Committee shall consider and decide the same, in accordance with law, preferably within a period of three weeks from the date of its filing, under intimation to the petitioner as well as to this Court.

It is further directed that the complaints filed by the petitioner with the Delhi Police/respondent no. 2 regarding the alleged impersonation shall also be considered and decided expeditiously by the concerned officer, in accordance with law.

warranted in law, is taken on the petitioner's complaints. In the event the petitioner remains aggrieved by any inaction or omission on the part of respondent no. 2, it shall be open to the petitioner to avail such remedies, as may be available to him in law, before the appropriate Court of law.

With the above directions, the present petition along with pending application stands disposed of.
