Heard the Petitioner-in-Person and Mr. Tushar Sannu, learned Counsel representing Respondent No. 2 / Delhi Jal Board (“ DJB ”).

This Public Interest Litigation Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the Respondents, especially DJB to ensure supply of clean drinking / potable water free from sewer / sewage material in Yojana Vihar, Delhi- 110092.

The learned Counsel representing Respondent No. 2 / DJB has filed a Status Report dated 15.07.2026 according to which, the entire water pipelines in all the three blocks, namely, A, B and C blocks of Yojana Vihar, Delhi have been changed.

The Status Report further states that water samples have also been tested by the field staff and the residual chlorine levels were found to be satisfactory indicating that the water supplied is potable and fit for consumption.

The Petitioner has stated that in the process of laying down the new pipelines, the road cutting was done by the contractor.

Mr. Tushar Sannu, learned Counsel representing Respondent No. 2 / DJB, on instructions, from Mr. Rajesh Shah, AE for DJB, who is also present in Court, has stated that repair work of the road shall also be completed within a period of six weeks.

In view of the aforesaid, we dispose of this Writ Petition.
