The present petition has been filed by the Petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia , seeking issuance of an appropriate writ directing the Respondent-Municipal Corporation of Delhi (hereinafter, ‘MCD’ ) to issue the Certificate of Vending (hereinafter, ‘COV’ ) to the Petitioners in reference to the registration receipts issued to the Petitioners after having being participated in the survey conducted by the Town Vending Committee (hereinafter, ‘TVC’ ) of the MCD.

The case of the Petitioners is that the Petitioners were surveyed by the TVC and only registration receipts have been issued to them. The grievance of the Petitioners is that no COVs have been issued to the Petitioners. The apprehension of Petitioners is that they ought not to be disturbed from vending.

Heard. It is seen that no photographs have been placed on record by the Petitioners. The Petitioners are not even recognised vendors as on date. Accordingly, the reliefs which are being sought are not maintainable.

Needless to add, in terms of the registration receipts issued to the Petitioners, whenever the provisional COVs are to be issued by the TVC, the same shall be done in accordance with law.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. Pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
